State-of-the-art 800 MHz radio system with statewide communication capability

The Smyrna Police Department is ready to serve the community with a contingent of 23 sworn officers and seven civilian employees, as well as 24-hour emergency police dispatching. In order to deal with specialized law enforcement situations, the department has several highly trained units, such as:
Bicycle Patrol Unit
Community Policing Officer
School resource officers (SRO's)
Special Investigations Unit (SIU) - including the Quality of Life Unit and Criminal Investigators
STAR (tactical) Team
TAC - Motorcycle Patrol Unit
