The Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC) is a member-owned municipal electric cooperative established to purchase energy and related services, and represent the interests of its members.
There are seven owner members and two affiliates. The members of the Board act on behalf of the Corporation, which includes:
- Negotiating long-term energy contracts
- Approving budgets
- Making policies
- Signing full requirements agreements
