Smyrna's trash contractor is Waste Management. They will take almost everything you put out for collection - including sofas, mattresses and box springs, appliances, toys, etc. All trash must be placed curbside in order to be picked up.

They will also remove refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers at no cost if you call (800) 345-7932 and make special arrangements.

Waste Management will remove branches, limbs, carpet, carpet padding if it is cut into lengths no more than four feet and securely tied into bundles. The bundles should weigh no more than fifty pounds each.

The contractor will NOT take construction, demolition, or building materials, hazardous waste, or tires.

The Town of Smyrna also has a Spring and Fall Clean-Up week each year. They are advertised in the Smyrna/Clayton Sun Times and on electric bills well in advance.
