2023 In-Person Registration

Town of Smyrna Voter Registration

The Town of Smyrna will offer voter registration as follows:

Smyrna Town Hall, 27 South Market Street Plaza between 8 am and 4 pm; excluding holidays. 

You may also register in person at The Department of Elections for Kent County located at:

Any person not identified as a registered voter on the list obtained from the State Department of Elections by the close of registration at 4:30 pm 14 days before the day of the election shall not be permitted to vote in that election.

Absentee Registration

Any person unable to register in person due to physical impairment or because of public or military duties may register by mail. Details for mail registration are available at the Town Office or under the Absentee Voting Page on this website. The dates for absentee registration are the same as for all other registrations.

Online Registration

You may also utilize the Online Voter Registration Application on the State of Delaware website. Please use this function if this is a first-time registration or if you need to update any information that you may have on a previous registration that has already been processed (i.e., changes to your name, party affiliation, or address).

If You're Not Sure You're Registered

If you're not sure if you're registered to vote, please visit the State of Delaware Polling Place Locator. You will be asked to enter your first name, last name, and zip code.

After Registration

After you have registered to vote, you should receive your polling card in the mail within 2 to 3 weeks. If you do not receive your card, please contact the Kent County Department of Elections.
