Overview
The Clayton Lions Club is a group of diverse community-minded citizens interested in the betterment of their community and its citizens. And they're always looking for like-minded new members.
Community Service
The Clayton Lions Club supports the community by:
- Funding local activities like:
- A local Cub Scout Pack
- A Smyrna-Clayton Little Lass softball team
- A Smyrna-Clayton Little League baseball team
- Providing a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Smyrna High senior
- Providing eye examinations and purchasing eyeglasses for the needy
- Sending a blind child to summer camp every year
- Sponsoring Smyrna's Annual Duck Creek 5k Run/Walk
- Supporting a Christmas party for the blind in Kent County
- Supporting statewide efforts such as:
- Collecting eyeglasses for the needy in third world countries
- Lions Vision Research Center
- The Lions Leader Dog Program
- The Wilmer Eye Institute
