Lions Club

Overview

The Clayton Lions Club is a group of diverse community-minded citizens interested in the betterment of their community and its citizens. And they're always looking for like-minded new members.

Community Service

The Clayton Lions Club supports the community by:

  • Funding local activities like:
    • A local Cub Scout Pack
    • A Smyrna-Clayton Little Lass softball team
    • A Smyrna-Clayton Little League baseball team
  • Providing a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Smyrna High senior
  • Providing eye examinations and purchasing eyeglasses for the needy
  • Sending a blind child to summer camp every year
  • Sponsoring Smyrna's Annual Duck Creek 5k Run/Walk
  • Supporting a Christmas party for the blind in Kent County
  • Supporting statewide efforts such as:
    • Collecting eyeglasses for the needy in third world countries
    • Lions Vision Research Center
    • The Lions Leader Dog Program
    • The Wilmer Eye Institute
